Paper is the canvas
And the pen a brush
I use to paint my imagination
A substitute for skills I lack
My mind carves words
For your tongue
Ideas for your soul to digest
It’s the only gift I have
A motion picture
Playing at 30 words per second
In your mind
It comes naturally
And when I fail
In the world outside my words
I blanket myself
With the knowledge
It is they that I command
My words

This was actually born out of another poem I was writing called "Happiness." i haven't written this much in a while and I have never written this deeply and taken so much time with my words. It's a new experience and I like what I'm seeing, Hope you are enjoying too!
